I am amazed at how many clients care more about getting the lowest price possible vs doing the research to see who they are hiring. As a mother, I'm protective by nature and when a client recently told me about the carpet cleaner that played with her daughter's hair I was alarmed! She told me that she screamed at him "don't touch my daughter!". She asked him to leave but was very distraught over the incident. I asked her how did she find the company and her response was "oh, i saw a special he had on google"..that's it. There is no regulation in place for carpet cleaners - you just buy a portable, throw it in the back of you car and put up a google listing and Wham! you are in business. One recent case involving a child bothered me to no end because the child molester/killer was hired by the company in November and he raped and killed that baby in December..guess what? He was a meth user! That company didn't do a drug screening on him before they hired him?!!! Very few carpet cleaners post their pictures or information about themselves...you probably would not open your door if you saw them. Be careful and remember your family's safety is #1!
