What do I get with my Platinum Carpet Systems DEEP STEAM cleaning?
You will ALWAYS receive top quality, full service, multi-step DEEP Steam Cleaning by a 2 man cleaning crew.
You have a right to receive ALL the steps of a professional cleaning, don't fall for low price gimmicks that will give you the quick - squirt, suck and gone! You will have soggy, stinky carpets for a nice low price.
Our Multi-Step Carpet Cleaning Program Includes the Following:
ALWAYS A 2 MAN CREW! NO TIRED, WORN OUT 1 PERSON DEAL!
STEP 1 — Pre-Inspection Every great carpet cleaning experience starts with a proper pre-inspection. Our service technician will inspect your particular areas of concern as well as noting carpet construction and soiling conditions. He will also advise you of any possible permanent staining.
STEP 2—Furniture Moving (Most of the other companies do not move anything -ask!! Sofas, loveseats, chairs, tables and most light items will be carefully moved. Larger pieces, ie: beds and dressers are left in place due to liability restrictions. Furniture will be protected with disposable blocks and tabs.
STEP 3 —Pre-spray & Pre-spot (Again, most of the other companies charge extra for this step or don't do it at all - ask!) Traffic areas and spots are pre-treated for more effective soil and spot removal.
STEP 4 —Extract & Rinse Once the soil has been loosened, our state-of-the-art truck-mounted hot water extraction process (sometimes called steam cleaning) will thoroughly flush the carpet pile. Pressure and heat are regulated so that carpet is not over-wet.
STEP 5 — Dry Stroke
This very important step is left out by the many inexperienced "carpet cleaners" or the in/out type cleaners. Once the carpet has been cleaned, a drying stroke (using just the powerful truck mounted vacuum) removes most of the remaining moisture from the top of the carpet fibers. If your carpet cleaner leaves a room full of pine tree shaped strokes or "W" looking strokes, he has given you what's known in the industry as a "blow out" job. Your carpets will take days and days to dry.
STEP 6 —Post-spot Treatment If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, specialty spotting techniques are employed. Note: Permanent stains identified by our service technician may not be removed.
STEP 7- Post Grooming/Raking (90% of low price cleaners will not rake , they are lazy and want to get out of your home quickly.)
The carpet pile is raked in one direction for fast drying and visual appeal.
STEP 8 —Post Inspection You will do a final walk through of your home with your technician to inspect our work. Let us know that you are pleased by signing our service receipt and giving payment.

Carpet Cleaning Scams
Like every industry, the carpet cleaning industry has its share of bad companies. Although the majority of the companies are honest, there are some that are looking to scam the consumer. This article will help you identify the unethical carpet cleaners and help you avoid getting ripped off by a scam.
Bait and Switch
This is the classic carpet cleaning rip-off. In this scam, the customer is lured in by a ridiculously low priced carpet cleaning. Often the advertisement you read will offer carpet cleaning in the neighborhood of $5 per room. There is no way that a company can be profitable selling its services that low. But the companies usually have no intention of leaving your home with only the advertised amount. So how do they increase the bill after you have taken the "bait" of the low price?
Preconditioning Scam
One way they will increase the bill is by selling you preconditioning. Most legitimate companies include this in their pricing. That low price they offered probably didn't include it. It may have been $5 per room to clean it with water only but pre-conditioning will cost you an additional 25 cents per square foot. Considering an average room size of 150 square feet, that would be $37.50 per room extra. So a 5 room home would go from the advertised carpet cleaning price of $25 to $212.50. Quite a difference. But what if you just refuse to pay for the pre-conditioning? Chances are you will get a substandard cleaning or a rush job, but their is another way that they can try to force you into paying for the pre-conditioning. They may offer to do a demo for you. This isn't necessarily bad, many good carpet cleaning companies do demos. What Bait and Switch companies will do however is clean an area in a highly visible area. If you decide to not pay for the extra service, you will have an extra clean spot in the middle of your carpet that will stick out like a sore thumb. By doing this you are forced to pay the extra price.
Protection Scam
Almost all carpet cleaning companies offer protection at reasonable prices and carpet protectors themselves are good products. This doesn't become bait and switch until a company uses high pressure tactics. Customers may be told that their carpet will be ruined if they don't have protection applied. This is simply not true. Protection will certainly extend the life of your carpet and help prevent permanent stains. You should never be pressured into purchasing it.
Extra Room Scam
Another way for Bait and Switch companies to increase their bill is through extra room charges. If you use a coupon, you must read the fine print. Some companies will charge extra for rooms over 100 square feet of carpet for example. It is hard to find a room in a typical home under that square footage, so that means the typical room will count as two and the typical living room or family room will count as three or even four rooms.
*Important - We have a couple of webstalker/ copycat carpet cleaners who visit our website daily to copy content/our current offers hoping it will help their carpet cleaning businesses. We have had to report one of them to our Attorney in the past for hijacking our google account. He went so far as to setting up a website with a similar name (I have since bought the domain) and phone number and when clients called he would tell them that he bought our company. I own my company. I stay up late many nights working on my website and my business and I don't want potential clients to think we copied any information from his or any other website. Be careful you may hire one of these very unethical companies because they have a decent looking website and price their copycat cleaning packages lower than ours. Remember ~ You get what you pay for. Just because they have a website does not mean they are taxpaying, ethical businesses.
