Hi, my name is Ramona and my husband Willie and I are founders and owners of Platinum Carpet Systems here in Atlanta, GA.  In 1999 my husband left  one of Atlanta's largest carpet cleaning companies after witnessing years of unethical practices against customers and unfair treatment of it's minority employees.  Although he was highly paid, in his heart things weren't right.  We realized that the industry has eroded into a lot of poorly trained, unethical companies claiming to be professionals. With that,  Platinum Carpet Systems was born. 

We recognized an opportunity within the carpet cleaning industry to provide a quality of service unparallel to others. I subsequently spent all my free time closely researching the industry, getting caught up on technological changes, and conducting detailed market analysis. In the end, what I found was that my initial observations and instincts were correct. There are a tremendous number of unethical, pooly trained, "bait and switch" scam artists within this industry that claim to be professionals. You may have seen their type exploited on ABC's program, 20/20. They advertise very low room prices to "bait" you and then once in your house, they push you very aggressively to spend a tremendous amount of money. This is known as the "switch." Beware of this type of carpet cleaning company. They are out there and they exist. I get advertisements almost weekly at my house through mailers and coupon packs offering to clean a room of carpet for $6.99 per room. Many of our clients have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with these types of companies in the past. We hear the actual horror stories every day...

They can't give prices over the phone, they could not give an exact appointment time, the technician showed up in an old rusty truck,the technician looked like he just finished working on his car, they were late arriving, they had beat up portable equipment in my house, the carpets took days to dry, the spots came back, and worst of all, the carpets looked worse after they were cleaned than before the company arrived! Sound familiar? The sad reality is that these guys call themselves professional and get unknowing homeowners to pay them for this type of inferior service.

We use the industries finest truck mounted equipment, follow all cleaning guidelines established by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and require all Platinum Carpet Systems personnel to successfully complete extensive training and certification programs.
